Why Memory Care Nurses Choose ProStat
Dementia care is its own discipline. We staff nurses and aides who actually want to be in memory care — and we match you to facilities that respect the work.
Specialty-aware matching
We know which PA memory care neighborhoods run on positive approach, which use Teepa Snow’s GEMS, and which still rely on chemical restraints. We place accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need dementia care experience to take a memory care assignment?
Strongly preferred. Some facilities will accept candidates with strong general SNF or personal care experience and onboard you; others want fully experienced memory care staff. We’ll match you appropriately.
What certifications help with memory care assignments?
Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care training, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), and any dementia-specific in-services are valued. Not always required, but listed if you have them.
Is memory care harder than general SNF?
Different — not necessarily harder. The clinical acuity is often lower than acute SNF, but the behavioral and communication demands are higher. Most nurses either gravitate to memory care or away from it. We listen to preferences.
Do you place new graduates in memory care?
For LPN/RN roles in memory care, we usually want at least 6–12 months of post-license experience. For CNA/PCA roles, new certifications with good attitude can be a fit.
How often do I get paid?
Weekly direct deposit Friday for the prior week’s shifts.
