What Pennsylvania DSPs Do at ProStat
ProStat DSPs support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live full lives — ADL assistance, medication oversight (where certified), community outings, behavioral support, vocational and educational reinforcement, and the kind of consistent presence that changes outcomes. We staff IDD providers across Lancaster, Harrisburg, Lebanon, Reading, York, Allentown, and most of central and eastern PA. If you have prior IDD experience (or strong behavioral support skills), a clean background check, and patience, we want to talk.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need IDD experience to work with ProStat?
Strong IDD experience is preferred, but not strictly required for all assignments. Some clients want fully experienced DSPs; others will accept candidates with behavioral support or caregiving backgrounds and onboard you.
What certifications do I need?
Requirements vary by assignment. Common: PA medication administration training, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), CPR/First Aid, clean PA criminal record and child abuse clearances. We’ll tell you what each role requires.
Is overnight work available?
Yes. Many IDD residential settings need overnight DSPs (some active, some asleep-shift). Tell us your preference.
How often do I get paid?
Weekly direct deposit every Friday.
Do you place DSPs in ICF/IID facilities?
Yes. ICF/IID assignments have additional documentation requirements, which we’ll walk you through during onboarding.
