Specialty-aware matching
We know the difference between an acute psych unit, a residential PRTF, a geriatric behavioral neighborhood, and a substance use program. We match accordingly.

What Behavioral Health LPNs Do at ProStat
ProStat behavioral health LPNs administer psychotropic medications, monitor for adverse reactions, conduct safety rounds, document MSE-aware progress notes, de-escalate behaviorally, and coordinate with RN charge nurses and psychiatry. We staff Lancaster, Harrisburg, Lebanon, Reading, York, Allentown, and most of central and eastern PA. If you have psych or behavioral residential experience (or strong med-surg LPN with the temperament for it) and CPI training, we want to talk.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need psychiatric LPN experience to take a behavioral health assignment?
Preferred. Acute psych units typically want at least 6–12 months of psychiatric LPN experience. Residential and geriatric behavioral roles can accept LPNs with strong med-surg or SNF backgrounds plus willingness to learn.
What training helps with behavioral health placements?
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) is standard. Mental Health First Aid, trauma-informed care training, and Mandt training are valued. Many programs offer in-services.
Is behavioral health LPN work safe?
Programs vary in staffing ratios and security support. We screen placements — if a facility’s safety culture is weak, we route elsewhere. Our job is to be your filter.
Do you place behavioral health RNs too?
Yes — RN charge and supervisor roles in inpatient psych and residential settings. Ask about specifics when you call.
How often do I get paid?
Weekly direct deposit every Friday.
